The Dutch Volleyball Federation (hereinafter: Nevobo, us, we) is responsible for the collection and processing of personal information (hereinafter: personal data) as described in this privacy statement. De Nevobo respects your privacy, for example by complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means, among other things, that your personal data will only be used insofar as it is compatible with the purposes for which it was obtained, and that you can exercise certain rights with regard to your personal data.

This privacy statement applies to the collection and processing of personal information provided to our members, volunteers, participants, subscribers to the newsletters and relations, as well as data obtained from visits to and use of our websites and/or apps.

1. Categories of personal data and source of collection

Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Any information by which a person can be directly or indirectly identified is personal data. This may concern, for example, your name, contact details and any other data that is or can be linked to you, including e-mail address, location data, login code, health data, bank data, ticket data, etc.

Processing of personal data means any action or set of actions relating to personal data.

2. Purposes, bases and retention periods

In order to execute the agreement with you (such as the membership of the Nevobo), we use your personal data for (in particular) the purposes as mentioned below. For each purpose, it is stated how long we store this personal data.

Data will be deleted 2 years after contact.
Handling disputes, questions and complaints
Data will be deleted 2 years after answering.
Recruiting volunteers
Data is kept as long as a volunteer position is fulfilled. When a volunteer stops, data will be deleted after 4 weeks.
(Direct) marketing purposes
Data will be deleted after a non-active period of 1 year.
Monitoring the performance of this site
Data will be deleted after a period of 3 years.
Analyzing and improving our online services.
Data will be deleted after a period of 3 years.
Organizing giveaways in which you can participate
Data will be deleted 5 years after participation.


We also use your personal data for historical, statistical and scientific purposes. No retention periods apply for these purposes.

On some pages of the Nevobo websites you are invited to leave your name and contact details. For example, for mailing and questionnaires or to sign up for promotions, meetings or a membership. De Nevobo does not collect any personal information other than the information you provide to us, including the information you provide us with regard to your membership and the information mentioned in this document. By providing this information, you consent to the Nevobo storing this information. When you purchase products through our website, we store information necessary for the transaction. We can also store information about your purchasing behavior.

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

We may provide the information you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our services. For example, to make it possible to practice our sport, attend events and deliver products.

For example, we use a third party for:

- Hosting the financial and competition administration

- Taking care of (visitors and participants) administration regarding activities and events

- Printing player/official passes

- Providing newsletters and invitations

- Saving profiles to support marketing activities

- Taking care of the promotion of volleyball and events

For the last two bullets, we share your personal data with our ticketing partner CM Tickets and, for some events, also with TIG Sports, so that we can, in collaboration with these parties, determine the event for which tickets have been purchased.
